preventing motion sickness

Motion or travel sickness is very common and can make you feel sick or vomit. It is caused by repeated unusual movements, usually when travelling by car, boat, plane or train. There are effective treatments available, both from your doctor and the pharmacist. Ideally, medicines should be taken before the journey is
started.
It can be triggered by strong smells and anxiety. e.g. food and petrol, sometimes trying to read a book or map can trigger it. More commonly among women and children. it's not really known why some experience motion sickness than others, to some it can last for hours while others takes days even after the journey.
HOW TO PREVENT IT:
  • Minimise your movement, when in car sit in front, take the sit by the planes wing or the middle deck of a boat.
  • Try breathing fresh air, especially in car, open window.
  • Close your eyes or get some sleep.
  • avoid reading or watching films while travelling
  • avoid staring at moving objects, instead look ahead at a fix spot
  • avoid heavy meals or alcohol before or during flight, esp. fatty meals or spicy food
